About

With chambers in both Sydney and Newcastle, Andrew is uniquely positioned to represent a broad range of clients in the areas in which he specialises, which includes corporations law, construction law and commercial law.

Regularly appearing in the Federal Court of Australia, Supreme and District Courts of New South Wales, as well as the New South Wales Court of Appeal and New South Wales Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT), Andrew’s advocacy experience also extends to representing clients in mediations. His client base includes small to medium businesses, liquidators, large, listed companies, builders (including some of Australia’s largest builders) and owners, including strata bodies, in construction law matters.

Andrew’s practice has seen him briefed, largely unled, in a range of geographical locations across Australia, including New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland. He is commended for the calibre of his knowledge in corporations law, insolvency and construction law, his strategic advice in running litigation and his highly developed advocacy skills.

Prior to being called to the Bar in 2002, Andrew practised as a solicitor at Watson Mangioni for three years. He has lectured in corporations law at the University of Ballarat, Sydney Campus, is a member of the Commercial Law Association of Australia and was formerly a member of the New South Wales Bar Association’s New Barrister’s Committee. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wollongong.
